1) Potatoes make you FAT
when it comes to potatoes , you always end up thinking that including potato to your diet will make you fat. But the fact is one medium potato. potato could in fact help you lose weight provided you don't have it fried or accompany with junk food. potatoes includes vitamins and phytochemicals as well as flavonoids which are credit with improving heart health and protecting against lung and prostate cancers. so include this super food in your diet in form of baked potatoes or salads.
2) Refined oils are good for health
An oil is refined by using chemicals that are harmful to us. oil is treated with acids, or purified with alkali or bleached. it can also be neutralized, filter or deodorize. all of which require chemicals like hezane. you must avoid canola oil, vegetable oil , soybean oil,corn oil or margarine oil. these are the major reasons for arthritis and heart attacks. instead you can opt for sunflower oil , olive oil, sesame oil, desi ghee or coconut oil you yourself feel the difference within a couple of months.
3) Brown bread is healthier than white bread
Brown bread is though of as the healthier choice, but an analysis found that many of the brown and wholemeal bread actually contain higher level of sugar than white bread. There is no question that wholegrain bread is gold standard for bread in terms of the vitamins, minerals and fiber that it provides however, to avoid added sugar and other sweetners always check the label and never get confused with brown bread as whole wheat bread.
4) vegetarians don't get enough protein
A common myth you heard about plant based diets is the inadequate amount of protein you receive. The perceptions are not true. Vegetarians diet contain a variety of food, most of which have some proteins. Lentils ans soymilk are over 30% protein, 15% of calories in whole wheat. So remember if you eat plant based diet, you aren't going to have protein deficiency.
5) All indian food is unhealthy and fatty
Talking about the health aspect, indian food is the most healthiest food... medicinal, Healing spices likes turmeric, ginger, garlic and green chillies are among the most commonly used ingrediants in indian cooking. Indian food is mostly prepared using fresh produce and prepared from scratch. Moreover, indian has the highest number of spices in the world that makes the food healthiest.
