There’s a reason why Vaseline Jelly is known as the original ‘Wonder Jelly’ – because it has a variety of uses, some more unusual than others. You might be surprised of all of the things Vaseline can do for you. Here are just some of the amazing uses of Vaseline Jelly that you may not have heard of:
1. Protect minor cuts and burns
Even minor cuts and burns can be painful, but applying a layer of Vaseline Jelly helps protect your skin and locks in moisture.
2.Rejuvenate Dull Skin
Vaseline Jelly rejuvenates dry, tired skin to help keep it looking youthful and radiant. The jelly creates a sealing barrier on the surface skin locking in moisture and protecting your skin’s natural recovery process. The natural cell renewal process allows for dry, damaged skin cells to flake off. Vaseline Jelly is 100% pure and it can even be used on sensitive areas, like around the eyes, to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and dry, flaky skin over time.
3. Make Your Own Lip Scrub
Use Vaseline Jelly on its own for powerful lip protection and a brilliant shine, or put a small amount on a dry, clean, and soft toothbrush and gently scrub your lips to remove flaky skin. Exfoliating your lips gently with Vaseline Jelly can help to keep them smooth and soft.
4.Hand and feet moisturiser
harsh winter weather causes havoc on my skin. And, after months of being hidden under clothes and boots, my feet need some TLC. The solution? You guessed it, Vaseline. I apply some on my hands and feet, put on either gloves or socks, and wait about 10-15 minutes, to give Vaseline time to soak into the skin. When I take my gloves/socks off, my hands/feet are so soft!
5. Eye makeup remover
when I run out of makeup remover, I turn to Vaseline. Does the job quickly and effectively.
6.Maintains fragrance longer
some perfumes smell gorgeous, but last so little! To make it linger longer, apply a thin layer of Vaseline on your wrist (or wherever else you’re going to apply perfume) before spraying the fragrance on. You’ll be surprised at how well it works.
7.Seals in split ends:
unfortunately, there’s no way to repair split ends for good. But you can hide them. How? Just put some Vaseline on them. It’ll seal them in and make them look like they aren’t there. But don’t do this too often. It takes a couple of shampoos to remove Vaseline from your hair!
8.Prevents uneven tanning
I don’t use tanning lotions anymore, but if you do, you need to know this trick. If you put some petroleum jelly on dry spots before using a fake tan lotion, your tan will be even all over. Wonderful, isn’t it? And so easy!
9. Longer and thicker eyelashes
This is an unbelievable miracle of petroleum. Apply some jelly onto your eyelashes every night before going to bed. You will notice a longer, and much thicker eyelashes within two weeks. It does work, trust me!
10.Make up remover
You can instead use it to remove your make up. It is actually a better option. This is because some make up removers, or baby oils contain ingredients that may irritate the eyes. But petroleum jelly is very mild and safe to use.
